Admittedly, I’m depressed by the looming tribulation of global war and holocaust abroad triggered by the MAGA Republicans’ promised Orwellian dictatorship here in America. However, I did find comfort in the following good news to celebrate this, possibly, last “Free” Easter in America: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
As a worthless sinner, thankful for Jesus’ Grace in these dark times (Luke 18:9-14), I’m warned “of false prophets, which come to [us] in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Mathew 7:15) who “are of [their] father the devil, and the lusts of [their] father [they] will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44).
Because blasphemy is the only unforgivable sin (Mark 3:28-9), Jesus condemned the blasphemous hypocrisy of the corrupt religious leaders of His day, addressing them as Children of Satan the Serpent, conceived in lies and murder and not born again of Holy Spirit like God’s children. (John 3:1-21) He said: “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” (Matthew 23:1-33)
Also, Jesus tells us how to identify those whom Satan has deceived into worshiping hate-filled antichrists (I John 2:18) who blasphemously preach that forgiveness is unnecessary: the most anti-Christ statement one can make. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.” For example: 1) “I just love you” – Senator Tim Scott, responding to Donald Trump’s challenge: “You must really hate [Nikki Haley]”. 2) “He loved Big Brother” – Last line in Orwell’s “1984”. 3) Money (Matthew 6:24)
This Easter, please worship Jesus in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24).
